Greetings! My name is Samantha (but I go by Sam). I love writing, reading, research, paddleboarding, camping, hiking, biking, watching movies, kayaking, baking, and traveling.
I love helping others, and as a result, all of my professional experience has been in healthcare, and I now work in the human services field here in Colorado. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology in 2019 from Southern New Hampshire University and am now in the middle of completing my graduate degree in the same field.
Some of my biggest passions are mental health, criminal justice reform, and advocacy for both. It is my aim to reduce the negative stigma associated with mental health but also provide resources to individuals so that they don't feel so alone in their journey.
I encourage individuals to live life fully being true to themselves and who they are, and being open with their stories. I promote body positivity and encourage others to be confident and comfortable with the skin they're in. It is also my aim to provide a support system for those that may not necessarily have that in their own lives and to be 100% transparent with my readers. I live with anxiety but am also a recovering codependent who struggles daily with adhering to what and who I "should be" and trying to please others while putting my wants and needs on the back burner.
I wish and hope that you find and grow to be the person you want to see yourself become. And it is my sincerest hope that you continue to grow in the knowledge of who you are.
"It is so important to take time for yourself and find clarity. The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself."
-Diane von Furstenberg
